PHOSPHOROUS
Function: Phosphorus is a mineral mostly in the bones and teeth, and some is in our genes. The body needs phosphorus to make energy and to carry out many important chemical processes.
Food Sources: Dairy products, Grain products, Meats, poultry, fish, and eggs. Nuts and seeds, Legumes, such as lentils, kidney beans, and peas, potatoes.
Deficiency: Loss of appetite, anemia, muscle weakness, bone pain, soft and deformed bones, a higher risk of infection.
