Function: Lysine is one of nine essential amino acids in humans required for growth and tissue repair, Upon oral intake, L-lysine promotes healthy tissue function, growth and healing and improves the immune system.
Food sources: Lysine is supplied by many foods, especially red meats, fish, and dairy products.
Deficiency: A deficiency may result in tiredness, inability to concentrate, irritability, bloodshot eyes, retarded growth, hair loss, anemia & reproductive problems
