BEGIN A NEW CIRCLE OF HEALTHY LIVING, LEAVE FATIGUE BEHIND

Share

Do you feel drained out long before the day ends? Is there a lack of motivation that keeps you from doing your best or is it just drowsiness and mental exhaustion? If your answer to the above questions is YES, then read on. Tiredness affects the work-life balance, performance at work as well as social relationship. Visit your medical care provider to understand if there might be an underlying cause for this tiredness. Fatigue can be quite vague: It could be propelled from depression, from thyroid, hormonal issues, fibromyalgia and many other reasons.

The good news is, that there are many ways to rectify the situation.

  • Meditate to relieve stress and for some mindfulness. Find a place that is calm and soothing -- the study, your bedroom or a peaceful view. Breathe deeply for 10 minutes, picturing a serene place while listening to soothing music. If you are having trouble focusing, choose a mantra or saying that you can repeat.
  • Take a walk. Walking for 15 to 30 minutes can get your blood flowing and increase oxygen to your tissues. If walking doesn’t interest you perform push-ups or squats for one to two minutes at a time. And more importantly, take the stairs instead of the elevator or park your car further away from the building.
  • Turn off your technology. Repeated cell phone calls, e-mail beeps or 24-hour news can increase your stress and cause your work life to spill into your home life, according to CNN Health. Taking a day -- or at least an hour -- during which you are free from these bells and whistles can re-energize you.
  • Limit caffeine – too much caffeine, particularly in the evening, can cause insomnia. Limit caffeinated drinks to five or less per day and avoid these types of drinks after dinner.
  • Go to sleep at the same time each night in a darkened room, with the proper temperature and the appropriate amount of silence. A white noise machine, fan or soft music can help you experience better sleep.

Vitamins play a major role in keeping your energy levels up: Vitamin B12 is responsible for forming red blood cells that transport oxygen in the blood throughout the body. Once the oxygen arrives to your body’s cells, it is utilized for energy production. Vegetarians and vegans are susceptible to be low on vitamin B12, since it is most commonly found in fish, meat, eggs, dairy, and many fortified foods. Make sure to include good amount of all round nutrition in your diet. Green leafy vegetables, fruits and check with your medical care provider for daily multivitamin supplements. You can change your lifestyle, begin a new circle of healthy living and fatigue will be left far behind. And, when fatigue is far behind you will move forward with a new enthusiasm and zeal.
